Dedicated to the memory of Tricia

This site is a tribute to Tricia. She is much loved and will always be remembered.

Patricia Margaret Crout (or Tricia) as she liked to be called was born on 29-08-1952. the only child to Elizabeth and Kenneth Grant, who she adored.

Tricia had the sweetest soul with the heart of many and a wicked sense of humour. her ability to always think of others before herself is something quite rare.

She went to an all girls catholic school where she found her faith and this faith carried her through life especially towards the end.

After leaving school her dream was to become a hairdresser and started her career as an apprentice which she loved and this chosen career she did for the rest of her working days and even well into retirement and illness but Tricia’s true passion in life was always for her family and friends.

Tricia and Mike first met over fifty years ago at a nightclub in Torquay and in both there words was love at first sight. After two blissful years together they were married and after another blissful, peaceful two years there twin girls Lisa and Louise were born, who, in mums words, was instant, everlasting love.

More children were on the cards but when they were told it could be double double trouble they very quickly decided against it.

Family holiday’s abroad were also off the cards as Tricia didn’t like the sun, scared of boats and Mike hated flying so opted for what we take for granted, this beautiful country we live in.  Cotsworlds was a firm family favorite and when the girls flew the nest to be with there life partners Tony and Gary who they adored they still enjoyed there holidays and even managed far and away places like France.

Tricia loved animals and they reciprocated that love for her.  Dina, Devon, Dexter, Murray and Beau were her fur babies and if you ever mentioned the word Nana (the feeder) their eyes would light up instantly.

Tricia and Mike were finally to be grandparents and in my dads words it was the icing on the cake. Paige bought such love into their lives, a special bond that can never be broken-forever.

Tricia, a loving wife, a loving mother, a loving nana, a loving best friend, we will miss you beyond words. God bless, Sleep tight. WE LOVE YOU TO THE MOON AND BACK.
